May 11, 2022 (Owosso, MI) – Join Connections2Careers at The Armory this summer for our children’s programs.
Beginning June 8th through August 10th on Wednesday’s, kids are invited to the open game room where we will play board games and do fun activities from 1:30 – 3:30 pm in The Armory Community Room (lower level). Games in our game room include Apples to Apples, Sequence, The Logo Board Game, Star Wars Life, Memory games and much more. Have a game you want to share with others? Feel free to bring that along as well. Drinks, snacks and books will be available for purchase.
Our Life Skills series is on Tuesdays and includes Money Madness, Healthy Hygiene, Exceptional Eating, Coping with Emotions and Credit Craze. This series is perfect for kids 8 – 13 who want to learn how to write a check, take care of their skin, read and understand nutrition labels, learn how to cope with their emotions, and lean about credit and credit cards. Each individual session is $10 or $40 for the series.
Explore cultures and places through our Explore Locations Series where we will go to Arendelle with “Frozen,” Berk with “How to Train your Dragon,” Columbia with “Encanto,” and Kumandra with “Raya and the Last Dragon.” Join us as we will watch each movie, discuss the culture, eat themed snacks and do art projects, color and do a special activity each session. Each child should bring a bag lunch and drink as we will go from 10 – 2 each session. This series is on Thursday’s and starts on June 23rd. Cost is $15 each session or $40 for the series.
Registration is open at www.connections2Careers.org. Please keep in mind that all children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult, however, only the child needs a program ticket.
